brilliancy. The shape resembles that of a cone and is meant to maximize light return through the
top of the diamond.
The “Round Brilliant Cut,“ with its typical 58 facets, is still the most popular cutting style for
diamonds today.

Step Cut Diamond
A Step Cut diamond has sloping, four-sided Diamonds or Gems whose outlines are either square
or rectangular and whose facets are rectilinear and arranged parallel to the girdle are known as
step- or trap-cut stones..
There are fewer facets in a step cut diamond than in a brilliant cut diamond.
